Kayotea Tea Room and Bistro is transitioning, from restaurant to tea supplier.  Where you once found Kayotea, you will now find Cafe 9 Nove which will continue to serve the food you've come to love in the same atmosphere you've enjoyed as well.  Still located at 912 E. Broadway, you can reach Cafe 9 Nove at 573-449-8193

Kayotea Tea is proud to announce that it will be supplying Cafe 9 Nove with the same quality loose leaf tea that Kayotea Tea Room and Bistro has offered for four years.

You will also be able to find us online as well as numerous retail outlets such as Merle Norman Boutique located at 917 E. Broadway and others soon to be posted.

This site will, in turn, become totally dedicated to the knowledge and offering of the foundation of what Kayotea Tea Room and Bistro was built on...TEA!

2010 will bring Kayotea's customers the opportunity to purchase online as well as within the Mid-Missouri retail community and will serve as a central hub for all the newest and best info regarding that special brew.

What We Do...

Kayotea was started back in 2004 with the simple premise of bringing  a century old beverage into the mainstream.

In 2006, Kayotea Tea Room and Bistro opened its doors in downtown Columbia, Missouri.  For four years we offered premium loose leaf tea along with a full breakfast and lunch menu meant to target a customer base that was intent on doing good things for their bodies.

But now, Kayotea is going back to basics and focusing strictly on the brew that started it all...

Kayotea's focus is to increase the knowledge and health of its customers by providing them access to one of the oldest health benefits known to man.  In addition to over thirty varieties of loose tea, we provide customers with the necessary information and equipment to steep their favorite blends.  

We educate our clientele and provide them with a quality product for use at home or at work, in turn, nourishing their minds, bodies and souls.
